What are the differences between malfacilo, malfacileco, and malfacilaĵo?
The (grade of) difficulty (malfacileco) of leaning a language is excercising. We were hampered by many (problems/) difficulties (malfacilaĵoj)

What would be a "lark" or "early bird" in Esperanto
Fruulo, with some linguistic tolerance matenulo, noktulo would do.

"esti turnita" vs "turniĝi"
For other readers on a more beginning level: to turn can both be used transitive an intransitive: I turn the car (turnas) and the wheel turns (turniĝas). Where Esperanto is more precise.

Is Esperanto intelligible to someone who doesn't know it?
@avpaderno yes hospital at one time had the same meaning as hotel - and malsanulejo is very obvious & clear. On the other hand one can argument in favour of pikselo instead of rastrumero which was picked because bildero would be too imprecise.

on the twentieth (date) --> la dudekan
@JuhaMetsäkallas thanks, actually you provide valuable info on the order in Esperanto. I wanted to state that the order in English favors place before time. Hence an Esperanto translation can be more precise. One should not necessarily keep the same order.
